Research proposal abstract
Patellofemoral (PF) osteoarthritis (OA) can be caused by primary degenerative changes, or by secondary osteoarthritis caused by recurrent patella dislocations, anatomical abnormalities such as trochlear dysplasia or secondarily to patellofemoral fractures.
The goal of this article is to give insight into the survival rate and outcomes of patellofemoral joint survivorship in the Netherlands.
This will be done by looking at all patellofemoral joint arthroplasties performed between 2007 and 2022 in the Netherlands. Numbers and percentages will be shown and the Kaplan-Meier curve will be used to plot the survival curve.
